Inert column hardware option, “PS inert,” launch

We introduced the inert column hardware “PS inert,” featuring a multilayer organic inert surface treatment applied to metal surfaces, at JASIS 2023. Order acceptance has now begun.

Unlike so-called metal-free (PEEK) columns, PS inert is compatible with connections to virtually all HPLC systems. It effectively suppresses non-specific adsorption of analytes and contributes to improved detectability.

PS inert can be manufactured at an additional cost of JPY 25,000 (excluding tax) on top of the standard column price.

Available Column Dimensions:
2.1 × 50 mm, 2.1 × 100 mm, 2.1 × 150 mm,
3.0 × 50 mm, 3.0 × 100 mm,
4.6 × 50 mm, 4.6 × 100 mm, 4.6 × 150 mm, and others

Compatible Packing Materials:
Our in-house manufactured HPLC packing materials, including the following stationary phases:
SunShell, Sunniest, SunArmor, and Sunrise

Notice of Commencement of Parallel Use of Column Hardware of SunShell Columns with Other Companies’ Columns

SunShell 2.6 um, 5 um column tubes use IDEX Isobar column hardware. Currently, some IDEX Isobar column hardware takes more than 6 months to be delivered. For sizes that are out of stock due to late delivery, we will use domestically produced column hardware in parallel. We have confirmed that the performance of domestically produced column hardware is comparable to that of Isober column hardware.

Thank you for your understanding.
